DSM - Driver Status Monitoring
The drivers in trucking industry are on city streets and interstate highways 5 days a week from cost to cost.
AutoDefend AI products utilizes the modern image processing and radar AI technology to alert drivers.
Driver Status Monitoring (DSM) system alerts when drivers are distracted from focusing on the road and surrounding. Driver is alerted, for example, when the driver is gazing away from the road, or looking at cellphone.
Advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) alerts when the vehicle is in motion toward possible accident. Driver is alerted, for example, when the truck is drifting from the lane, a pedestrian or bicyclist or another vehicle is moving or have moved into the cross path with the truck.
Blind spot detection (BSD) system alerts when a pedestrian or bicyclist or another vehicle is present in the blind spot while changing lanes, turning or backing up.
Construction vehicles are large and irregular size and shapes, and they are operated in loud environments.
Large and loudness create a situation where visibility is limited and inability of hearing persons or vehicles.
360 Around View Monitoring (360 AVM) increases the visibility around visibility. Integrated with vision AI algorithm, the system can alert the operator of moving (approaching) person or vehicles.
Millimeter or Ultrasonic radar blind spot detector (BSM) can also detect a moving or stationary objects in the path.
Loud buzzer sound and large warning light will bring attention to both operator and the persons nearby.
The mining vehicles are huge and there is no visibility around the vehicle without aids. Not to mention the harsh conditions in which these vehicles operate.
In designing the safety and security systems for mining vehicles, two important factors are considered. 1) The components are built to function and last in has environmental conditions. 2) AI algorithms are accurate, and AI algorithm filter data and present readings and warning that are easy to understand and react to the situation for safety.
Radar Vision system utilizes millimeter radars, cased in metal housing, and designed operate in all weather conditions. Radars sends data to an intelligent radar ECU which analyses the data and if attention is required, warning alerts are sent to a buzzer and a warning light. At the same time, the camera pointing the object are brought display on the monitor.
For added safety, DSM and Seat belt warning can be integrated.
For security, video recording function can also be added.

Forklifts has unique safety challenges. The driver's view is often blocked by the load in the front and frequent loading and unloading, the driver loose awareness of surroundings. One challenge is an ability to accurately position the fork under the pallet when a pallet is on the ground or up 20ft above on the rack. Another challenge is to avoid workers and other forklifts as they maneuver blind corner and narrow racks of the warehouse.
AutoDefend Forkcam system is a wireless camera mounted on the fork with a monitor. The camera is rechargeable battery powered and housed in heavy metal housing to prevent from damages.
